Behaviour
We need good behaviour, so that all students feel safe and so that all students can learn all the time.  With this in mind, we have a “Behaviour Charter”.  We promise:
·
To treat students with respect at all times;
·
To model ourselves the behaviour we need from  students;
·
To be as fair as we can be towards students;
·
To recognise and reward good behaviour as well as good work;
·
Never to impose whole class punishments;
·
Never to keep a student behind in school later than 3.15 without contacting parents.
Behaviour Checks
If a student chooses not to follow the classroom  rules, he can expect one or more  Behaviour Checks, like this:
1
A warning
2
Stay behind at the end and discuss your behaviour
3
2 minutes’ detention at a time chosen by the teacher
4
You are sent out to work elsewhere and you will have to do 10 minutes’ detention at a time chosen by the teacher
5
You have done something seriously wrong, or you have carried on misbehaving after being sent to work elsewhere.  Expect 20 minutes detention or more for serious offences.
